The Value of Substance, Quality, and Honesty: The Effort in Embracing Meaningful Values

In a world that often prioritizes appearances over substance, quality over quantity, and diplomacy over honesty, it can be challenging to discern whether these values hold true for individuals or are merely facets of a carefully constructed facade. However, it is essential to reflect upon the significance of substance, quality, and honesty in our lives and question whether they are our guiding principles or mere exceptions. As we delve into the depths of these values, we discover that effort becomes an overarching theme, requiring us to actively invest ourselves in embracing these meaningful qualities.

Substance, the intrinsic value that underlies any entity or action, is a cornerstone of true worth. Yet, in a society driven by superficiality, substance often takes a backseat. To appreciate substance fully, we must exert effort. We must strive to look beyond the surface and invest time and energy into understanding the essence of things and people. By making the effort to seek substance, we can create a world that values depth, authenticity, and meaningful connections.

The pursuit of quality is a noble endeavor, demanding consistent effort and dedication to achieve excellence. It is not enough to merely acknowledge the importance of quality; we must actively pursue it in all aspects of our lives. Effort becomes the driving force that propels us to seek out and appreciate excellence. By investing our energy in the pursuit of quality, we elevate our own experiences and inspire others to strive for greatness.

Honesty is often regarded as a virtue, yet the discomfort it can cause sometimes leads us to shy away from it. However, embracing honesty requires effort. It demands both the courage to speak the truth and the humility to receive it. To fully appreciate the value of honesty, we must make an active effort to create an environment where honesty is encouraged and valued. By cultivating a willingness to hear honesty, we demonstrate resilience, openness, and a commitment to personal growth. The truth, regardless of our feelings, holds importance beyond our individual experiences, and acknowledging that truth becomes a testament to our ongoing effort to better understand ourselves and the world around us.

In a society that often prioritizes appearances, quantity, and diplomacy, it is crucial to evaluate whether substance, quality, and honesty truly hold value in our lives. By challenging ourselves to make these values our standards rather than exceptions, we can transform our interactions, choices, and perceptions. Effort becomes the overarching theme, reminding us that to embrace substance, quality, and honesty, we must invest ourselves fully. Through our ongoing effort, we can cultivate a more meaningful, enriching, and honest existence, contributing to the positive transformation of ourselves and the world we inhabit.

Nitti Gritti

Greetings from Chris

Hi there, I’m Chris (Nitti) Gritti and I’m a Mental Health Coach.

Lets just keep this clear and simple for full transparency.

I am not a college educated psychologist nor can I prescribe medications.  I am certified in cognitive behavioral therapy, but the bulk of my knowledge comes from life experience.  Tons and tons of trial and error which equals tons and tons of mistakes.  Those mistakes taught me that radical self acceptance, self love, and core confidence all come from choosing to let go of the victimhood identity and embracing the responsibility of the outcomes of our life choices.

I’ve found my passion in helping others get on their own team and believe in themselves again. I am not the right Mental Health Coach for everyone, but I might be the right fit for you, so look around. Check out my content on YouTube and IG if you don’t get a clear vibe on me here at the site. No matter what i want to commend you for looking for someone to help you, and I wish you the best in finding the right therapist for you.

Be Unapologetically You.

It’s okay if people don’t like you.

Mahalo and Aloha,

Chris Gritti
