I won’t say much here because it’s not ready to share yet, but it’s about a baby elephant and self exploration of personal identity.

Measuring Self-Love
What is Self-Love?
Self-love is a beautiful and transformative journey that we embark upon, and just like any other journey, it is unique to each individual. It's important to remember that self-love is not a fixed state, but rather something that changes and evolves over time. It exists on a spectrum, much like self-esteem, and can be experienced as either high or low.
When our self-love is low, it manifests in various ways that impact our overall well-being. We may find ourselves lacking confidence, feeling as if we have little control over our choices and experiences. Negative thoughts can creep in, leading us to engage in harmful social comparisons. We may struggle to ask for or advocate for our needs, leading to a sense of internal unrest.
Worry and self-doubt can become constant companions, making it difficult for us to accept positive feedback and truly appreciate our worth. Our inner dialogue can turn negative, casting a shadow on our outlook and view of the world. Boundaries may become blurred, as we find ourselves engaging in people-pleasing behaviors, neglecting our own needs in the process.
But fret not, dear reader, for self-love is a journey of growth and self-discovery. It is an opportunity to nurture and care for ourselves in ways that bring about positive change. It starts with recognizing that we are worthy of love, compassion, and understanding.
As we embark on this journey, let us embrace the power of self-compassion. Instead of berating ourselves for our perceived flaws or shortcomings, let us choose kindness and understanding. Let us learn to celebrate our strengths and acknowledge that we are worthy of love and acceptance, just as we are.
Setting healthy boundaries becomes a crucial component of self-love. By cultivating the courage to say no when necessary and honoring our own needs and desires, we reclaim our power and create space for genuine self-care.
Remember, self-love is not a destination but a continuous practice. It requires patience, forgiveness, and a commitment to ourselves. Each step forward, no matter how small, brings us closer to a place of greater self-acceptance and fulfillment.
Let us measure our self-love not with harsh judgment or comparison, but with compassion and understanding. Let us nurture ourselves along this journey, embracing the beautiful evolution that self-love brings to our lives. You are worthy, and your journey matters. Embrace it with open arms, for self-love is the key to unlocking a life filled with joy, authenticity, and inner peace.

Ricky the Cosmopolitan
The OG cynics were known as Dog Philosophers, and it was Diogenes himself who is believed to have coined the term Cosmopolitan, meaning citizen of the world.
Dogs are the best people and one of my inspirations, the insanely talented Ricky Gervais, shares a deep love and respect for dogs which is why I named my cosmopolitan dog philosopher Ricky.
Trust Yourself!
Yes you can.
If you can’t trust yourself, how can you trust your mistrust in yourself? ❤️ paraphrasing Alan Watts, but if you didn’t trust your inner critic you wouldn’t give its opinion weight. In other words you already, most likely, trust yourself, but only for the negative. Defend that if you can. I did for a long time, but no longer. My mindfulness foundation is built on trust in myself. Perfect is out and Easy ain’t coming. Progress is my direction.
